If you are looking for a two centre holiday Asia holiday to Singapore and Langkawi then you have come to the right place. Reading my edition of the Lonely Planet magazine this morning reminded me of some great times in both Singapore and Langkawi, two very different long haul destinations. Sarah Reid from Lonely Planet writes about the amazing street food you can find in Singapore. You can start with a breakfast of kaya toast at the Tiong Bahru Food centre for just £2.00 before moving on to the Singapore national dish of Haianese chicken rice. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Singapore has developed incredibly over the years and is Lonely Planet’s number one city to visit in 2015. Why not try and make the Singapore Grand Prix in September?

After experiencing the neon, exciting city of Singapore it is always good to have a few days relaxing alongside the beautiful Andaman Sea and where better than the Datai Hotel in Langkawi, one of my all time favourite hotels.

The Datai Hotel Langkawi

Travelling from Singapore to Langkawi is just a short flight with either Silk Air or Air Asia and you will be met with open arms at the airport by the Datai hotel staff. The hotel is set in a stunning location within the rainforest and next to one of National Geographic’s top ten beaches in the World. The Datai Hotel Langkawi really is the place to go to unwind and refresh. But look out for monkeys on your balcony!

Pope& Sons offer a flexible itinerary for both destinations staying at the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore and the Datai Hotel in Langkawi. Give us a call on  01926 658797 to discuss your next holiday to Singapore and Langkawi.

  1. Singapore is a great city – definitely somewhere that I’d like to revisit. From the “mandatory” Singapore Sling at Raffles to the street food to the panoramic views from the observation wheel to the luxury that is the Mandarin Oriental. Loved every minute.

The Datai still holds #1 position in my heart as most incredible hotels. Literally nestled in the midst of a rain forest, yet with access to a private golden beach. Nature tours, Cookery Classes, Spa Treatments or a Private Catamaran Charter. Everything about the Datai oozes the “Wow Factor”. Thanks to Dave Pope for introducing us to this fantastic place

  2. Loving this combination of bustling city and then the golden beaches of Langkawi. For a city Singapore has some amazing gardens and open spaces to sit and relax in when the hustle and bustle of the city becomes to much. Langkawi is a stunning beach location and the rainforest spa is the ideal spot for relaxation. I would recommend this for busy executives looking to unwind and honeymooners.
