England Cricket Tour to Sri Lanka
Please find below our suggested cricket tour to Sri- Lanka taking in the Colombo test match and additional touring. Day 01 – 22nd Nov
On arrival, you will be greeted by our chauffeur guide and transferred to Colombo where you will check in and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 02 – Day 06 / 23rd Nov – 27th Nov
The next five days will be spent spectating the last Series of test matches between Sri Lanka and England in Colombo.
Day 07 – 28th Nov
After a leisurely breakfast commence your journey to Kandy.
Transfer time: Approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes
This evening, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth that houses Sri Lanka’s all-important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. Legend has it that the Buddha’s sacred tooth was snatched from his funeral pyre and smuggled into Sri Lanka during the 4th century. Since then, the tooth relic has been moved around Sri Lanka to protect it from foreign invaders – hence, the several ruined relic houses, dotted around Sri Lanka. It was always believed that whosoever had the custody of the sacred relic had the authority to rule Sri Lanka. Towards the end of the 16th century, the Tooth was brought to Kandy and the relic has remained here ever since.

Day 08 – 29th Nov
After a leisurely breakfast drive to up to the tea country shrouded in mist.
Transfer time: Approximately 3 hours
En route visit a tea plantation with the resident planter who will take you on a tour through the factory where some of the best tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea and also gain first-hand experience on the manufacture of some of the best tea in world. If you’re lucky you may be invited to taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea which begins its journey as raw green leaves in the hills and ends up as a final golden-brown graded product which we all but know too well.

Day 09 – 30th Nov
After an early breakfast head down south towards Yala national Park. You will have a chance to spot the elusive leopards during your stay.
Transfer time: Approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes.
Check in to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. The hotel has much to offer.
Overnight Stay at Cinnamon Wild, Yala – Jungle Chalet on BB Basis
Day 10 – 01st Dec
Today after breakfast you will embark on an exciting Morning safari into the Yala National Park jeep safari.
This is Sri Lanka’s most known National Park is popular for Elephant, Leopard, Bear, Crocodile and Wild Boar. 97,800 hectares in extent, this is the second largest of Sri Lanka’s National Parks. Its open undulating terrain made it famous for elephants for many years, but recently the park has also received much fame through publicity by National Geographic and the Discovery TV channels.
Return to the hotel after the morning excursion to refresh. Your next destination is the Galle.
Transfer time: Approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Go on a tour of the infamous fort this evening. The famous Tarshish of the Bible where King Solomon obtained gems and spices, this “Living” UNESCO World Heritage Site is the port where the Portuguese first landed in Sri Lanka in 1505. Captured and fortified by the Dutch who ruled maritime Sri Lanka in the 17th and 18th centuries, the city still retains the air of old Holland.

Day 11 – 2nd December
Having reached the end of your tour you will be transferred to the Bandaranaike International Airport from where you will catch the flight to your next destination.
