Day 1 – Arrive Auckland

Day 2 – Auckland
Join the crew of an authentic America’s Cup yacht, taking the helm, exerting yourself on deck, or sitting back and enjoying the action and scenery as you sail beautiful Waitemata Harbour.

Day 3 – Auckland – Rotorua
Embark on a fantastical adventure today on the Hobbiton Movie Set from ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogies. Located on picturesque private farmland, the set remains exactly as it appears in the acclaimed movies. See hobbit holes, The Green Dragon™ Inn, the Mill, doublearched bridge and other structures and gardens created for the film adaptations of the J.R.R. Tolkien classics. Conclude your day in Rotorua.

Day 4 – Rotorua
Today, visit New Zealand’s living Maori cultural centre, Te Puia. Situated in the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, Te Puia’s 60-hectare site is home to the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute; the world-famous Pohutu Geyser; and more than 500 geothermal wonders. Gain a fascinating insight into New Zealand’s elusive kiwi, visiting the AKP supported Kiwi Encounter. See the incubation room, hatchery and nursery where this
extraordinary project is increasing the number of this iconic endangered species. Return in the late afternoon to your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the expansive lake views from your suite balcony, or wander through the herb gardens overlooking the lagoon.

Day 5 – Rotorua
Take a helicopter flight today, landing on the site of the largest volcanic eruption in New Zealand’s recent history. Standing atop Mount Tarawera, you will be treated to a privileged view of the spectacular craters and domes formed by the 1886 eruption. Next land on White Island and walk the active crater floor with its steaming lake.
