South-East Asia Travel in August
If you have noticed the dramatic rise in European holiday packages this year then you might want to consider South-East Asia travel in August as a family holiday destination. However its not quite that easy and you need to consider the South East Asia weather to decide which country to visit as well as work out the potential cost of flight and accommodation.
The best South East Asia destinations to visit in August if you are looking for good weather are :
The east coast of Malaysia including Tioman & Redang Islands and the Perhentian Islands will be enjoying plenty of dry and sunny days along with perfect sea conditions for snorkelling and diving. August is considered peak season so visitor numbers are at their highest during this month but don’t let that put you off as there is always a quiet corner to be found. We would recommend the Japamala Resort a great boutique property on Tioman Island. Talk to us about combing Tioman Island with a few nights in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
You should find hot, dry, and sunny weather throughout Indonesia in August, making August a popular time of year to visit the region, and advance booking is highly recommended. Temperatures remain high, with consistent averages around 27-29°C, and comfortable humidity levels across much of the region . We would recommend a stay at Belmond Jimbaran Puri and maybe an Indonesian cruise asw ell as a few days in Ubud.
Despite the summer monsoon still coming from Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal, the south and west coast regions of Sri Lanka usually experience a significant dip in rainfall during August compared with the months either side so you could discover a window of opportunity. Temperatures remain high on the coast around 29 °C whilst up in the hills it can be chilly, especially at night. Good weather is also expected in the north and along the east coast, making August one of the few months that beach lovers can have their pick of Sri Lanka’s stunning beaches. Accommodation and food costs are very reasonable making Sri Lanka a very attractive destination for families with plenty of beach life , wildlife and culture on offer.
If you re feeling a little more adventurous then why not consider Japan , Taiwan or maybe even Korea or include them on a longer around the World ticket.
